Cool Season

I left my site at the end of October in the midst of the grand finale of rainy season and I have now returned to a cold season that has not been shy about unleashing its crispy coolness. And. I. am. loving. it! I am even learning to out smart my arch enemy, the ice cold bucket bath. No need for frequent bathing due to less sweating and soap, does that really need to rinse off completely, and hair…that’s what baby powder is for. To be honest, there might not be too much bathing that happens in the next four months. Consider yourself warned.

An unexpected side effect of cool season- the Lifetime special, memory montage of this time last year that has unleashed itself in my head. Something about the smell of chill has turned me into a regular sap.

Oh the memories of wearing sweatshirts, outside air conditioned rooms. And a sinfully delicious breakfast in Ubon.

Or the morning I stepped of the bus at the Golden Triangle. Wonderfully, crisp.

Or the worst sunburn of my life. Apparently, cool season does not protect one when they fall asleep on the beach.

Or the time this girl came to visit. She was such a trooper through all my crazy.

Or my first hamburger in six years at Thanksgiving Sizzler dinner.
